DEFINITION OF LECTURE METHOD

‘Lecture is a teaching activity where by theteacher presents the content in a comprehensivemanner by explaining the facts, principles andrelationship, during which the teacher is expectedto elicit students participation by employingappropriate technique’.

Demonstration is the method ofteaching by exhibition and explanation,combined to illustrate a procedure orexperiment.

• To improve skill of the student

• Provide a vicarious learning experience

• Visual representation helps to memorize the content

• Observation skill will be improved

• Improves the confidence level

• Time consuming

• Only a limited number of students can be arranged at a time.

• All the procedures cannot be demonstrate clearly

• Teacher who do not have mastery of skill cannot demonstrate the procedure.
