1) Differentiate between latitude and longitude lines

Longitude lines run north and south Latitude lines run east and west

2) What is a hemisphere? List four. A TERM FOR HALF OF

3) How can locations be expressed? As coordinates (where latitude and longitude

meet

4) Define equator. The line of 0 degrees latitude

5) Define prime meridian. The line of 0 degrees longitude

6) Draw the 4 hemispheres.

left until you reach the end of the map Step 3- Write down this point. It is the latitude. Step 4- Put your finger on the point again. Step 5- Trace your finger straight up or down until

you reach the end of the map Step 6- Write down this point. It is your longitude.

11) How to get coordinates

Find the coordinates of the mountains.

Coordinates Longitude= 100 degrees east

+ Latitude= 40 degrees north

The coordinates are 100 degrees longitude west, 40 degrees latitude north
