DC Solar Electricity Transmitted to Data
Center Using Private Power Line (2015/8/10 12:34) SAKURA Internet Inc. announced that they have built a 200kW solar power station in Ishikari City, Hokkaido, Japan, and started to transmit electricity to its data center.
In March 2013, SAKURA Internet introduced HVDC+DC12V system to Ishikari data center. The DC power generated at the solar power station is transmitted over a private power line without being converted to AC, directly powering DC12V servers.

Solar Power + HVDC Beyond The Legacy
For effective power generation, the solar battery needs the power conditioner that is controlling the operating point ,or rather the " MPPT ".
It's true.
In the following illustration, battery and solar panels are prioritized by their voltage. DC allows this simple architecture by applying diodes which prevent reverse current.
