What is kitchen organization?

Kitchen organization means development of a new kitchen for a

given outlet systematically and intelligently. It is a specialized job which help us to save time and

money.

Is kitchen planning beneficial?

Yes, off course. A well panned kitchen is an asset for the organization as it

saves the valuable:SpaceTime

Is there anything that I should keep in mind while kitchen

planning?

Yes. There are several factors that influence the kitchen planning. Some

of these factors are touched in the forthcoming slides.

F.1. Space required / available

Working space required per person for working in the kitchen is directly

proportionate to the projected quantum of meals to be prepared are

served in the outlet.

F.2. Type of outlet

Every type of outlet needs a different type of kitchen. So the type of outlet should be taken into consideration

while planning a kitchen.

F.3. Type of client or guest

Guests’ preferences also influence the kitchen planning. As if guests

want to know that how food is being prepared, then the kitchen should

have a glass partition to satisfy the guests.

F.4. Type of meals offered

Menu offered for service will decide the workflow and the man power required at one of time to prepare

and serve such menu items.

F.5. Future expansions

Any plans for future expansion in the kitchen should be addressed at the

time of initial planning.
