We miss you “Abbajee”

Abdul Rehman December 22, 1918- July 24, 1964

He was an extremely devoted father. His life with us was short but full of happiness and love. Even though it

has been 51 years since his departure from this world, it seems that it was only this morning that he left for his

office on that fateful day.

Rehman Scholarships

The Rehman Scholarships for students of Primary School at Chak No 297 JB were started n 1985. The year

2015 represents the 31st year of these scholarships. These scholarships were established to honor our father and

to pay thanks to the community who acted like family members after our father’s sudden death.

These awards are merit-based and awarded to the top 3 students in each class at the annual school day. Each

award has a name and these names include: Abdul Rehman, M. Hafiz, Hamza, Rauf Malik, Ali Ahmad, Sian

Ahmad Bux, Iqbal Kaala, Malik Sharif, M. Safdar And M. Fazal. All school students, teachers, parents, and

community members attend the annual award ceremony followed by a reception.

This is the fourth HDF scholarship for the schools of Chak No. 297 JB. With this scholarship all students in this

village will have the opportunity to compete for these awards. In 2014, the Rehman scholarships were

transferred to the HDF Endowment. This will ensure that our tribute can be continued after we join our parents

in the hereafter.

The 2015 award ceremony was a combined ceremony of all schools and fifty two students got these awards.
