Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio. All work within the portfolio was created by me.
I currently work as the marketing assistant for Santa Barbara City College. I graduated Cum Laude from San Diego State University in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Science, and minor in Spanish. I am pursuing a career in online marketing. I have experience in film production and editing, writing and communication, photography, social media and graphic design.
Related Work Experience
My experience as Marketing Assistant for Santa Barbara City College is a combination of managing the communication stream of SBCC via Facebook and Twitter, and producing media including photos and videos. • On a daily basis, I create content for Facebook, Twitter, and blogging for the
SBCC Experience• I have created over 90 videos for Youtube, managing the entire process,
including the script, filming, directing, editing and closed captioning.

• There is no paid advertising on attracting users to our social media sites.
• The above graph displays trends in Facebook activity, with the blue part illuminating when I was on vacation.
• Below, you can see our Twitter Grader report is at 94, and our twitter users have risen from around 320 to 562.
Answering QuestionsI answer questions on Facebook by researching the question and contacting the appropriate department to find the officially correct answer.
Creating ConversationWhen I post items to Facebook, whether they are original posts or response to pre-vious posts, my goal is to create a conversation, or buzz. The more people interact, the more momentum the topic gains, and each person who is a friend of someone involved is now aware of that in their home feed.

One of the main purposes of the SBCC Facebook page is to encourage new students to consider our school and feel encouraged about enrolling.

In addition to promoting prospective students to attend our school, I also encourage current students to take advantage of all of the events going on, because it makes our school a better place.

The SBCC Experience was designed to show prospective students what the life of a student is & share important parts of SBCC. Topics cover how my classes are going, what I’m working on at my internship, giving advice such as how to stay calm during finals etc.
Video• On my first day I had never made a
movie or edited one, and by my last I have created more than 80 vidoes for our YouTube channel. I execute the whole process, including find-ing and working with the people I interview, helping them along while filming them, and then edit-ing and adding closed captioning.
• Themes include the campus, students, strategies for success, acacdemic departments, & on-campus events.
• I approach students from “Meet the Students” & other vidoes by sell-ing them on the idea to participate without a tangible incentive
• I constantly get positive feedback, of which I included an example.
