Getting together the files to assemble this volume was an interesting exercise in location and reading floppy disks, SyQuest disks, Zip disks, and lots of CDs. I am sure there are many more of my images form this period that reside on hard drives in land fills as well. This collection gets as close as I can get to the “early days” for me and digital experiments in still media. All the images in this volume were made on Mac computers using Apple OS 7 & 8. Adobe Photoshop 3.0 was the software used most in these visual experiments. Many of the images here are sketches and were never pursued beyond that point. Other works were more fully developed and were used as the basis of further experiments moving into digitally driven printing of various types: Iris prints, dye-sublimation prints, Cibachrome prints – among others.
