As a Golf Spray Technician you are responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is
also responsible for managing the chemical storage facility and irrigation system; plus, knowledge of plant species, diseases, insects and
general fertility.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position operates in a working environment that is subject to hazards associated with use of pesticides and general landscape care products, basic hand and power tools, and chemical application equipment.
This position generally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions.
Proper clothing is provided.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and use of pesticides and fertilizers.
Must have or obtain category 3 turf/ornamental commercial pesticide applicators license.
Knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science and the rules of golf.
Ability to use tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape work.
Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Physical strength, stamina and agility.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of college level courses in agronomy and landscape gardening. Requires
five years’ experience in chemical application and golf maintenance.

Equipment Manager- Gleneagles Country Club
Gleneagles Country Club is a high-end private facility with two 18 hole Championship golf courses. Gleneagles
CC is located in Plano, Texas and has an excellent reputation for having outstanding golf courses. The golf
courses consist of bentgrass greens, 419 bermuda tees and fairways along with common bermuda rough.
With the outstanding golf courses comes a well-maintained fleet of equipment. We are looking for that well
qualified, highly motivated person to lead the equipment maintenance and repair. This position reports to
the Director of Golf Course Facilities, Scott Miller, CGCS. The Equipment Manager also works with and
communicates to the Asst. Superintendents.
Responsibilities:
Leads, supervises and performs a variety of equipment repairs, services
Inspects equipment for safe operation and makes adjustments as needed
Troubleshoots all types equipment and perform repairs including 2 stroke, 4 stroke, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and more
Adjust all mowers setting heights, sharpening, back-lapping, and more
Ability to perform PM services and repairs on all mowing equipment and makes adjustments
Ability to maintain golf course maintenance cart fleet
Record Keeping ability is a must as well as inventory tracking
Ability to stock and order parts

Equipment Manager- Barton Creek Resort
Summary: The Equipment Manager is responsible for all facets of turf equipment maintenance and repair. This
individual should possess a basic understanding of the game of Golf and the effects this position has on
the overall condition and playability of the game.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A portion of time will be spent working on equipment repairs and maintenance. Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including, diesel, electric and gasoline--‐powered trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical equipment used in utility work. Instructs and/or trains golf course maintenance workers regarding preventive maintenance, and the proper cleaning of and safe operation of equipment. Necessary Skills:Skill in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair. Working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work. Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical School Certification a plus.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a full--‐time, hourly position. Wage and benefits are commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes health, dental and vision insurance.
