Our speaker this month will be Rev. Michael Reid. Fr. Michael will lead a discussion of “Our Christian Calling: Support for Homeless Women”. There are over 600 homeless women on the Monterey Peninsula, facing tremendous threats to their safety and unique barriers to reaching help.
Fr. Michael reminds us of Christ’s call to help the most vulner-able, and shows us how to respond to the Lord’s personal call to each of us, through his work with the Fund for Homeless Women. Michael Reid is an Episcopal priest, author, co-founder & organizer of the Fund for Homeless Women of the Community Foundation for Monterey County. He served 20 years as a non-profit leader before going on to seminary, then six years of parish ministry at St. Mary’s by the Sea Episcopal Church in Pacific Grove.
Join us for interesting & enlightening conversation as we delve deeper into our faith & enjoy dinner with friends. All are welcome! Join Monterey Theology on Tap on Facebook! You can send questions to Deacon Warren Hoy at whoy@dioceseofmonterey.org. We hope to see you there!
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
