Announcements
• Beginning Sept 7th, all students must be masked while on campus. This new order runs for 90 days.
• We have a few students remaining who still need to turn in their documentation for receiving the TDAP shot. If you received the letters from the school indicating you still needed to turn in that paperwork, please have your student bring it, or a parent/guardian can drop it off in Student Services. The deadline is September 30th.
• Our most common dress code issue so far this year is pants with rips above the knee where skin is exposed. After shopping for my kids’ clothes this year, I learned non-ripped jeans are difficult to find. Please ensure tights or shorts are under the ripped jeans so no skin above the knee is exposed.
• Progress Monitoring Assessment (PMA) 1 will start testing in classes this week!Your student’s teacher will let them know the exact date of their test. All 8th
graders will take the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct 13th.
Arrival/Dismissal
• The gates for parent drop-off will open at 7:45am daily – students cannot be dropped off on campus before 7:45am, and should only be dropped off through the parent drop-off line. Thank you for your help - the line is moving quickly and smoothly! Student safety is our number one priority – it is not safe to have students get out of vehicles on Norman Thagard Blvd. Do not drop students off in an area other than the parent drop off line.
• Any student not picked up by 3:10pm will need to call a parent and have arrangements made for after school care (please see the next slide for Enrichment options).
Arrival/Dismissal

National Suicide Prevention MonthSuicide is the second leading cause of death among
youth aged 15-24. Approximately one out of every 15 high school students reports attempting suicide each
year. One out of every 53 high school student's reports having made a suicide attempt that was serious enough
to be treated by a doctor or a nurse. For each suicide death among young people, there may be as many as
100 to 200 suicide attempts.
Suicide is complicated and tragic, and it is often preventable. Knowing the warning signs for suicide and how to get help can help save lives. - National Institute

Who’s Raising The Bar?
Ms. Peterson
SchedulingDuring our Student Orientation on Thursday, Ms. Scott jumped in without being asked to assist with our laptop distribution and allowed the process to flow more smoothly with additional hands. We’re excited to welcome her to our campus and know she’s going to have a great impact on our students!
GREAT JOB!
