NGUNYA JARGOON WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RUBBISH

REMOVAL

OUR OBJECTIVE

To restore 17,500m2 of Ngunya Jargoon IPA, through removal of all illegally dumped waste including

asbestos and controlling weeds, in preparation for burning as a land management tool to be reintroduced to the area through the Firesticks

project.

OUR PARTNERS• Firesticks - Partner of the IPA and assisting in

reinstating cultural burning.

• North Coast Local Land Service - Advice and support

• NSW Office of Environment and Heritage - Advice

• IPA Advisory Committee - Technical Advice

• Jali Community - Cultural knowledge, support and feedback

• Rural Fire Service - Partner in Hazard Reduction Burns, support with burn planning.

OUR TASKS

• Remove large and heavy waste with machinery

• Remove Asbestos• Hand Removal of rubbish Monitoring and control of weeds in disturbed areas
