“It is I; do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27)

The disciples followed Christ wherever he went, and everywhere they went, Christ would teach them.

And everywhere they went, the people followed.

Christ would teach the people and heal the sick.

Night was about to fall, so Christ asked His disciples to take the boat and go ahead to the other side.

Then He went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. By evening, the boat had sailed a great distance from the land.

But as the disciples sailed toward the other side ...

the wind began to blow and the sea became rough.

The sea became so rough that some of the disciples were becoming seasick!

The boat became like a feather. The water carried it up and down and the disciples were afraid. They were about to drown.

The disciples looked out over the sea and saw an amazing sight! They saw Jesus walking

toward them on the water.

They looked out at the sea and guess what they saw? They saw Jesus walking toward them on the water!

When they saw him, they were terrified and cried out in fear, "It's a ghost!"

“Be of good cheer, it is I; do not be afraid” Jesus said.

"Lord, if it's you," Peter said, "tell me to come to

you on the water."

"Come,“ Jesus answered.

So Peter got out of the boat and began walking on the

water toward Jesus.“Go on Peter come

and walk on the water”

Jesus said

But when he saw the waves, he was afraid and said “How am I walking on the water” the storm is strong and the sea is high. I am afraid. I may drown”

and he began to sink!

“Help! Save me Lord,” Peter cried!

Immediately, Jesus reached out and caught him.

"You of little faith," he said, "why did you

doubt?"

And when they had climbed back into the boat, Jesus commanded the sea to be calm.

We face many storms in our daily life. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can weather the storm!
