Is Slack's slash command the secret

sauce for success with the tech generation?

Slack integration tips from HuddleCamHD®

Does the tech generation get excited when

amazingly simple UI makes life

easy?

Easy answer:Slack is the

fastest growing software

company in history...

What is slack?Slack makes everyday tasks more efficient for teams around the world!

So much so that it has become the fastest growing business collaboration software company in the history of the world!

What does slack do?It organizes communications for internal teams who can collaborate on "channels" of information.

But, that is just the tip of the iceberg and Slack's "Slash Command Prompt" opens up doors for everyday task automation for the tech generation.

What is a slack channel? As you can see some slack channels have been removed for privacy purposes.

But you can see our internal slack application currently contains 27 channels. This screen displays our “youtube” channel.

Over here you can see our “support” channel as an example.

What is the slash command? The slash command allows users to issue commands and automate tasks.

With Slack's open API developers have been creating all kinds of applications.

One of my favorite slash commands pulls data from google sheets which displays our weekly sales numbers.

Launching a zoom video call from slackAnother one of our teams favorite slash commands is launching a Zoom video conferencing call right from slack!

This is ideal when a face to face meeting is going to solve a current thread/issue we are working on.

Launching a google hangout video call from slackSome of our team members also use Slack to launch quick Google Hangouts which is nice because they are automatically "channel" specific. This is great for transparency during meetings.

Launching a video call from slackWe can use the /who command to identify who in the channel is being invited to the video call and the /invite @user command to invite anyone who we also want notified.

our favorite slash commandsOne of my favorite slash commands pulls data from a google sheet which displays the latest analytics from our YouTube Channel

Since we have have Google Sheets integrated with Google Analytics these numbers are always up to date with the latest information...

our favorite slash commandsYou can also quickly access a reference to the slack shortcuts which are equally as useful for everyday tasks.

slack is so popular it has given rise to “Slack born”

apps

Blab.im started as a simple slack integration
