AbstractI. Learning platform have now become central to the learning process The goal of this work

was to develop educational platform of the Iraqi STEM in Educational Robotics laboratory at the College of Education Ibn al-Haytham using internet technologies (HTML, CSS,JS PHP, MySQL)

II. and to develop a system which is essential for teaching institution. Both students and teachers are tied up in this system. Overall it’s a guided learning for student and a great way to change our typical learning curriculum by implement STEM approach but not replacement of typical teaching, it’s only the supplement idea for teaching which helps to learn easily and fill up their lickings.

III. Agile development methodology used for the design and execution of the educational platform. Since it is a complex task, we found that the best software development method to complete this task is Agile. Because agile method in compare with traditional plan-based methods, have several advantages have the ability to handle projects where requirements are constantly changing.

Aim of the project The aims of this project are:

Creating a platform for Iraqi STEM to ensure the Students are interacting with teachers and

with each other in learning environment that contain all what they need.

Raising student interests through new learning approaches and an enhanced curriculum.

Sharpening skills and abilities of teachers.

Building public and student awareness

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PLATFORM

Educational platform of Iraqi STEM is the learning management system based on the available Internet technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL). The database was created during the education platform development, the aim of the database is to store and manage the information of Iraqi STEM courses, students, and teachers. PHP scripts and MY SQL was used to connect the database into platform. Problems were solved using the Agile development engineering known as the iterative process. Each iteration results are the beginning of the next piece of the software development puzzle until the final product is complete. Each iteration is usually take time interval from two to four weeks to be completed. The customers and business stakeholders provide feedback to the prototype product to ensure that the features meet their needs

THE STRUCTURE OF A PLATFORM PAGES

The deep navigation system is selected for the Iraqi STEM platform, because it is the optimal solution for a large web application

Technology Used in the Educational Platform

HTML: the page overall layout is designed in HTML language

CSS: the style of the web page is created using CSS language

JavaScript: the animations and validation task is created by JavaScript language

PHP: the back end that control the front end logic and All the business is applied by PHP

language

MYSQL: database for the project created and manipulation by the MYSQL language

Apache: Platform will be run over the Apache server

Adobe Dreamweaver cc 2016: web design application that edit and view the platform pages

The main interface the platform is designed by using HTML & CSS codes. An interface includes many pages that show information and images for Iraqi STEM platform.

All components of this interface are explained below:

1-The header: consists of two parts, the Logo, and the Social Media Icons.

2-The main bar: consist of home page link, teacher's page link, departments page link, gallery page

link, students record page link, news page link, Contact Us page link, books page link, questions page

link, Students page link.

3-The body: the body differs according to the current page, most of the page body content is dynamic

created through the admin panel below is the body of the home page.

The Footer: it is the last part of the platform, consists of the google site map, email subscribe, copyrights and programming rights

Upload content, Delete content, Edit content. Teacher: Teacher of the Iraqi STEM education platform, teacher activities are Upload content,

Delete content, Edit content. Student: Student of the Iraqi STEM educational platform, student activities are login in to

the student record. Visitors: Visitor to the platform that is not belonging to the student or the teacher, visitor of the

platform can browse the platform

Conclusion & SuggestionsCONCLUSION

The educational platform is an effective means to facilitate the education process by reducing the time and distance between the teacher and the remote learner and allowing teacher of platform to upload dynamic contents to share knowledge with the students by less

effort and time .

SUGGESTIONS AND FUTURE WORK

1 -create online web-conferencing to the Iraqi STEM platform with text chat, audio and video capabilities, a virtual whiteboard and many more presentation and conferencing features. to deliver a high-quality learning experience to remote students.

2 -Create online testing and quizzing and learning activity for the student to facilitate teachers' work and enhance the learning process.
