UNICO has been providing construction services throughout the Michigan area for the past thirty years. UNICO has provided construction services to the automotive industry, restaurants and retail stores, projects ranging from $10,000 to $5,000,000. UNICO is fully licensed, bonded and insured.

Through their past work experience and job history our Team has participated in and managed construction facilities ranging from under 5,000 square foot projects to over 200,000 square foot projects. Tom Carnacchi
President
Tom Carnacchi is jointly responsible for the firms complete operation. Responsibilities include estimating, project management, scheduling and customer relations. Prior to forming UNICO, Mr. Tom Carnacchi spent fifteen years as a Project Manager. Mr Carnacchi’s experience involved retail and restaurants working hand and hand with Stella Food Service to meet the Owners needs. Mr. Carnacchi has successfully completed several projects in value form $ 5,000 up to $5,000,000.

Vice President
Pat Carnacchi is jointly responsible for the overseeing of all aspects of the firms construction activities including architectural, engineering, estimating, projects management, field operations, contract negotiations and quality assurance. Prior to forming UNICO, Mr. Carnacchi spent twenty years with Time Construction. Mr. Carnacchi’s experience involved design build projects and automotive projects being responsible for conceptual budgeting, bidding, scheduling, project management and value engineering. Mr. Carnacchi has successfully completed several projects ranging in value from $5,000 up to $2,000,000.
Mary Carnacchi
Cost Controller
Mary is a Cost Controller for UNICO, is responsible for all financial activities of the company including job cost analysis, cash management, budgeting and day to day financial reporting. Mrs. Carnacchi is also responsible for Benefit Administration and Corporate Policy. Prior to joining spent ten years at Kelly Services. Mary’s duties included accounts payable and receivable, billing and routine financial budgeting.
Mark Edenfield
Project Manager
Mark is a Project Manager for UNICO, is responsible for estimating job costs. Mr. Edenfield is responsible for plan distribution, soliciting bids from subcontractors, scope sheets, evaluation forms, quantity take-offs, bidding, conceptual scheduling and contract negotiation. Prior to joining UNICO Mr. Edenfield worked with Charnwood Construction estimating jobs ranging up to $5,000,000. Received his B.S. degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University.

Description: This multi-faceted project which included the 3rd floor surgical lobby, cafeteria, kitchen and lunch room with new equipment installation.
It started with a complete demolition of all the rooms. Unico then build new walls with reconfigured HVAC and added ceramic tile. Installed new quarry tile floors and vinyl covered sheet rock on the ceiling.
Unico installed kitchen and cooking hoods, walk-in freezer, coolers and fryers. New kitchen also included stainless steel prep sights.

Unico also renovated the office kitchen with a new floor, walls and custom cabinets.
