You have just created your Gradebook. Now it is time to add classes.Click on Add a Class.

. . . or you can import students from a spreadsheet. Be sure to have headers for ID Number, First Name, and Last Name.

from a SpreadsheetAfter clicking Add students to your class, you will see the following boxes. 1) Chose the class you wish to Import students into and click Next. 2) Choose comma Separated Values (CSV) and click Next. 3) Choose the spreadsheet that houses the student names and IDs and click Open. Your names will be imported into the particular class you chose.

Next, create your lessons with content and SMART Response questions using the tabs on the left hand side of the workspace.

Choose the type of slide you are going to create.

Choose the type of questionyou are going to ask.

Type your question.

This is what appears when you click on the SMART Response tab.

Type the answers and click Next. Choose the correct answer and click Finish.

The SMART Response System

1) Have students power on the devices. If your class does not appear, have students select "Find a class."2) Once joining a class (TechWork), students should enter their ID number.

1) The system should recognize the student's name and prompt him/her to sign in.2) The SMART Response will welcome the student once signed in successfully.

Starting QuestionsClick "Start this question now."

The SMART Response will prompt students to answer the question.

Student progress will be displayed on the SMARTBoard. Once time has passed or all students have answered the question, click "Stop this question."

Once the question is stopped, results can be displayed in various formats.
