Simulation of a law office consultation in which two law

students, acting aslawyers

(attorneys/solicitors/legal practitioners), are presented

with a client matter.

The students are given a brief written memorandum that

identifies the general nature of the subject-matter of the

client's problem (e.g., that the client is facing a shoplifting

charge, etc.) before theinterviews are held

The interviewwith the client is then

followed by a post-consultation

(between lawyers) in period during which

last a total of 45 minutes.

This competition encourages

students to develop interviewing,planning, and

analytical skills in the lawyer-client

relationship in the law office.

Indonesian National round for Brown – Mosten International Client Consultation Competition 2012 was organized by Universitas Gadjah Mada and held in 2 (two) different sessions which consist of preliminary session which participated by 11

teams and final session which participated by 3 finalists.

Both sessions took place in Faculty of Law, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta on October 29,2011 for preliminary round and February 3, 2012 for the Final round.

Judges Eligibility

Judges appointed in the National and International Round

comprising of academician, legal practitioner, and psychologist.

This composition was expected to cover every aspect needed in

client consultation.
