Installing Office 365 for students

Open student intranet student.ucol.ac.nz and click the webmail link.

Login to your UCOL webmail webmail.ucol.ac.nz

Locate the following email and click the link: https://portal.office.com Your login details will be different to those in example below.

At the login screen enter the details as listed in the above email.

Then update the password to something of your choosing

Once you have been logged in click “Install Office 2016”

Your ID @ucolcloud.ac.nz

A setup file is then downloaded to your computer, save and run this file.

When prompted accept the permission to install prompt

Please wait for the install process to complete.

Close the dialog boxes when complete

Open Start menu and type “word” then open Word 2016 when it appears

Click Accept when prompted

Open blank document

Click File

Click Accounts and confirm your office product is activated as per screenshot

If you are prompted to activate please use your ucol cloud login as shown.
