Installing Med Access Palliative Care (EoL) visit and profile template

Once the EMR template has been downloaded from the website and the file saved in a folder on your computer, follow

the steps below:

1. Click on the template icon on the page

2. Click on the “Obs” tab near the top of the page

3. Click on the “Import” icon on the Obs page

4. Click on the “Browse” button on the window that appears to the left

5. Click on the “Palliative-EoL Visit-Profile-Meds May 2014” file (or similar name if updated)

6. Click the “Open” button

7. Click the “Submit Query” button then the “Import” button in the same place if it shows up (it may not)

This part of the file import may take 30-60 seconds to download the file. Be patient!

8. Click the “Visits” tab along the upper tab bar

9. Click anywhere along the line that says “Palliative Care Visit” to highlight the line

10. Click on the heart icons on the right so that both hearts have a red “x” rather than a green “+”

11. Click on the “Profile” tab on the upper row of tabs to see that “Palliative Care Plan” is in the profile under the

Care Plan section
