Trade in those fancy shoes and lace up your boots….let’s build a house!

How do we do it?HFH Heartland Ontario brings together members of the community from all walks of life to build decent affordable homes in the area.

Corporations, faith communities, service clubs, professionals and individuals donate funds and gifts-in-kind, their time, labour and expertise.

A few staff and an army of volunteers help organize these resources.

Goals

To showcase the partnership between Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario and Community Living London in teaming up to build two homes for Community Living London clients.

To get another group of hard-working, low-income individuals into their own home!

How will we achieve this?

40 teams of up to 10 (ages 16 and up)

Each team will raise a minimum of $2, 500

All the money raised will go directly into building the home!

Each team will come on site for a build day starting in the Fall (tentative start date)

Fundraising

Money can be raised through pledges or

donations, as well as third party fundraising

If 10 friends give you $25 each, you have

met your individual goal!

Teams that raise $3,000 or more will be

entered to win a night out to one of our Jeans

n’ Classics concerts!

Fundraising Bonus

The team who raises the most revenue (one day total) for the build will win the coveted Painted Hammer* for the year!

Timeline

Now: Register your team and begin fundraising

Building begins in the Fall of 2015

Build dates: Set up your team building day with our office. Typically Mon – Fri from 9am-4pm, but we can be flexible.

Registration and Next Steps

1 - Recruit your team of up to 10 people

2 - Collect the names, numbers and emails of each

member

3 – Enter this information onto the fundraising website through http://habitat4home.ca/inspiring-possibilities-build
