Dr. Melissa Bilal earned her PhD in Ethnomusicology at the University of Chicago. After teaching in the History, Music, and Armenian Studies programs at Columbia University, University of Chicago, and Bogaziçi University and a visiting scholar at MIT, Dr. Bilal moved to Armenia to become an Assistant Professor in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the American University of Armenia.
