GENRE: SOCIAL ISSUE

• Social Issue: Documentary that focuses on an issue in the community to raise awareness about it. Film makers think that this is an effective way to create social change.

• Our issue: Pressure

OUR GOAL: RAISE AWARENESS- EXPLAIN WHAT PRESSURE IS, RAISE AWARENESS OF THE POSSIBLE PRESSURES STUDENTS MAY FACE

DOCUMENTARY: MADE UP OF SHORT INTERVIEWS

• Introduction: IS perspectives clip (link on ISLE).

• Interview a wide variety of people (students).

• Different age groups and different genders to ensure diversity!

• Don’t put interviews in order, but instead put one question, then add the relevant parts of each interviewee’s video and crop that in.

RESEARCH: STATISTICS? STUDIES?

• Research:

• Any studies done in the area (on students, preferably). E.g., the effect of pressure, the consequences of pressure.

• Statistics to help raise awareness of this issue.

SOUND? - NONE NEEDED -

• Music - would distract audience from main message.

• Background noise should be decreased to a level that wouldn’t interfere with the audio of the person speaking in the interview.
