OLE-DB Improvements
The following SQL improvements are readily visible to users, since these queries required work-arounds in InSQL 7.1.
GetDate()-type datetime functions work without the need for a parameterised query. Forexample, the following works correctly:
SELECT TagName, DateTime, Value from INSQL.Runtime.dbo.History
where TagName = ’ReactTemp’and DateTime > DateAdd(mi, -2, GetDate())and DateTime < GetDate()
GROUP BY works, when the query uses four-part naming or one of the v_ views.

Count(*) now works without the need for OpenQuery.
These improvements are mainly due to Microsoft enhancements to the SQL Server queryprocessor.
