In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge

forms and conventions of real media production?

1. 5- 10 minutes long

2. Limited characters

3. Limited locations

4. Limited dialogue

5. Simple ides/narrative structure

6. Twist at the end

1. You do not want it too long because it would get boring and it is a SHORT film 2. Having to many character would

confuse the audience and you need to introduce each character and in a short film you just do not have enough time for that

3/4. Having limited dialogue and locations doesn’t make it hard and confusing to follow

5. Having a simple idea makes it easier for the audience to understand the film and doesn’t make it too confusing.

6. The twist at the end helps break typical conventions making the audience excited and not bored of the same conventions

This is because

• Contrasting characters

• Set in an urban/city location

• Focuses on main characters

• Ordinary lifestyles

My Short film• 5 minutes long

Had only two characters which was contrasting

We didn’t have any dialogue

We had a simple idea

with a parallel narrative

• Limited locations which was set in an urban/ city

location

It had a twist at the

end

It showed their ordinary lifestyles

Yes it does !!!

I think that my media products followed the conventions of real media products. This is because out short film follows the convention of a moralistic drama and a short film by lasting only 5 minutes, having limited characters and having a simple plot.
