IFSA Gathering 2010
Organised by International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) and Singapore Feng Shui Centre (SFSC)
‘The more we get together, together, together…’, seems like an appropriate tune to reflect the sentiments on that day and set the
tone for this write-up on the event. Guests made their way to the Singapore Poly-
technic Staff Centre. Not for lectures or courses, but rather to attend the inaugural
IFSA Gathering event. The calendar showed 9 October 2010, 2nd day of the 9th lunar
month. It was a bright and sunny Saturday.
Groups of participants and guests started to fill the hall as the commencing time
drew nearer. More than 150 people attended the inaugural networking session
jointly organised by the International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) and Singapore
Feng Shui Centre (SFSC). It was an opportunity to foster deeper relationships and
bring together passionate people of liked interests to appreciate Feng Shui and
metaphysics.

The Distinguished VIPs It was an honour to have Singapore’s renowned
Feng Shui Grandmasters at the gathering. GM Vincent Koh, Founder of SFSC, kick
started the event by welcoming all guests and enthusiasts. He was later joined by
GM Tan Khoon Yong, Founder of Way OnNet Group, who candidly and generously
shared with us his lucid insights. It was also delightful to enjoy the presence of Mr. Lim
Peng Hun, Deputy Principal of the Singapore Polytechnic, and Mr. Darren Ng, Presi-
dent of the IFSA and Managing Director for TTG Asia Media Pte Ltd.
There was absolutely no room for boredom. Whether it was intriguing presentations
by guest speakers or mind boggling featured activities, every participant or guest
brought home pleasant memories topped with an enriched and fulfilling experience.

Health in your Hands: The first speaker, Ong Pang Siew, shared the healing
benefits of Pranic Healing. Ong went on to give a live demonstration on how this simple
yet powerful healing modality can alleviate the knee pain suffered by a female partici-
pant. Amazingly as it may seem, the lady gave a thumbs up indication and com-
mented that the pain in her knee had incredibly reduced after Ong had utilised prana
and hand chakras to produce healing effects. It will take more than logic for a com-
mon person to fully understand and appreciate the miraculous results of Pranic Healing.
Destiny in your Palms: Khor Tong Nee, the next speaker in line, unveiled the
secrets of the signs and symbols on your palms. Khor practises Astro-Palmistry, an Indian
and western based metaphysical science. Khor claimed that Palmistry originated from
India and he went on to share with the audience to look out for special symbols on their
palms. If you want to know whether your spouse is loving or whether you are a loving
partner yourself, look for “fishes” on your palms. Highly interactive and entertaining,
Khor captivated his audience with his humour and light-hearted delivery.

Oracle from the Germanic People: Next came Runes, a north Euro-
pean method of divination. There are a total of 24 runic alphabets and each one of
them has its own esoteric meaning that is used in divination in its own kind. Rowen Ong,
a practising Tarot Reader and the third speaker for the event, invited a guest to pick a
stone from his bag, which contained more stones with different runic inscriptions. In the
name of sporting fun, the guest picked one. Rowen explained that it means the sharing
of information. The oracle had spoken. Everyone was indeed sharing and exchanging
information at the gathering. How appropriate it was. Rowen went on to present to
the audience the background of Runes and share more insights on the topic that was
otherwise not so commonly heard of.
Today’s my Lucky Day: What could be more convincing than using your
own personal encounter as an example? Brandon Chua, the final speaker of the day,
did just that and used his home as the example to hit the right notes with the audience.
Chua gave various examples to explain how Xuan Kong Da Gua can be employed to
select suitable dates for different purposes. Though the exchange is short, many partici-
pants managed to have a clearer understanding of the topic.

More than just Talks There was something for everyone on that day. Besides
talks by guest speakers, booths were set up and ran by experts in their own fields to add
dimension and width to the entire event.
Guests, who wanted to know a bit more on their own distinctive personality, visited the
“Personal Number Profiling” corner managed by Charies Cheng. The simple 5-minute
analysis casted some light on your health, wealth, relationship or career too.
If you had a burning question in your mind that demanded an answer, a visit to the
“Mythic Tarot” booth by Colin Choo seemed like the best bet. Guests had great fun by
seeking out answers from the cards on that day.
Doris Tan showed the guests how a pendulum can be used to sniff out negative ener-
gies at your home or office, and perform a cleansing of the area and energise it with
pure positive energies. She called it “Remote Space Clearing”. To rid of negative influ-
ences, she might be the right person to call upon.

The Merrier We Will Be Talks and activities galore, sumptuous spread of buffet dinner was served by Food-
Haven. While guests and participants ate, chatted and laughed together, they helped
themselves to Carlsberg Gold Premium Beer to add flavour to the joyous occasion.
Hands were shaken, smiles were exchanged and new friends were made. The inaugu-
ral IFSA Gathering was a tremendous success, a testament to the organising commit-
tee’s effort and commitment. Could this be the prelude to more events in future? No
matter what the future beholds, from the positive feedback garnered, the more we get
together, the merrier we will be. Affirmative.
