Artur Baranowski 17.04.2014. Improving educational process by using ICT. Conference: Activating Teachin Methods. Lasdiju. Lithuania. The report presents several applications, programmes and educational platforms and the aspects of using them in teaching and learning process which are used in Lower Secondary school no. 2 in Łuków. From the great range of available apps the most suitable are presented as e.g.: installing.pl, google drive, blogger, youtube, hangouts and docs, Voki, prezi, issuu, calameo, wordle and tagxedo. First of all, the report indicates also the requisites claiming that ICT can be used because: it leads to rise of teaching effectiveness, improves and enriches traditional forms of transmit, enables and facilitates learning process and student’s development, enriches students’ knowledge and strengthen their motivation, provides the conditions to create learning society (teachers and students), supports teachers work, inspires to find new educational and methodological solutions, improves teaching quality, can be easily applied and refined by new users, Secondly, the presentation shows when each application should be used and gives an example. In learning process the author points at vocabulary self-dependance process, writing works with the feedback or presenting speeches with technologies. In teaching process the author indicates to films context using, working in groups, revising vocabulary, presenting materials, using of teachers attendance book, sending tests, doing self-assessment and sharing ideas. The author shows also the context of ICT using in promotion and evaluation using youtube, e-galleries or e-questionnaires. To sum up, the author marks the strong and weak points of presented applications and goes to summary.
