HOW TO USE IR DATA WAREHOUSE IN COGNOS ANALYTICS 

GO TO Institutional Research website at:  http://www.depts.ttu.edu/irim/ 

a. On the Top Menu, under “Facts & Trends” CLICK “Data Warehouse”

b. The Welcome To Cognos Analytics screen will pop up. 

On the Left Side Menu, Click “Team Content” and select “IR Data Warehouse”

c. In the IR Data Warehouse folder, select “IR Reports”  

d. Select any category you want.  In this example, Enrollment is being selected.

e. Begin your report by selecting the sort depending on what you need for this report.   

For example, Enrollment by College and Department 

Select Term 

Under College, Click “SORT ORDER” and choose “1” 

Under Department, Click “SORT ORDER and choose “2” 

Click “FINISH” to run the report

This is the results of the report you just ran. 

To save or export your report to Excel File, go to top menu and click “RUN” icon     

and select “Run Excel” 

Open or save the file.
