people fear to ask for a pay rise. If you are happy in your position, asking for a pay rise

can be best instead of changing job.

research out what the market rates are. If the equivalent businesses are paying the

same money for your role, it will be waste to work after salary rise.

Before you ask,

Present your achievements of the past years clearly and in simple terms. Where possible, present

testimonials of clients.

Convince your boss that you are worth a pay rise.

Mention if you have brought financial benefits to the company, helped in smooth running of departments or

introduced new ideas or working practices.

Give the boss the reason that will justify

your increase.

Do not make unrealistic promises.

Explain what you hope to achieve in the next few months and how you can improve your work.

You have to prove that you deserve the pay rise.

It is not a good idea to say that you need the extra money to purchase a house or a baby is on the way.
