How to Add a New Google Account in Chrome

Introduction:

The instructions below will help you create a new Chrome user for your student’s school Google

account. This will help with the ability to open Google files and link to their Google Account. Using this

process will also prevent Canvas from establishing a link to your or your student’s personal Gmail

accounts.

Before you being, log out of Canvas and close the Canvas tab.

1. Click on the icon in the top right corner. A window will open. Click on “+ Add”.

2. On the window that opens type in your student’s name and click the Add button.

3. A new window will open up that looks like this. Click on “Already a Chrome user? Sign in”

4. Type in your Aristoi email address and click “Next”.

5. Type in your assigned password and click “Next”.

6. If you are logging in for the first time, you will need to accept the terms. Click “Accept”.

7. Click on the icon to see which Google apps are available. You do have a Google Drive,

Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides. Click the “M” to open your Gmail.

8. Here is a view of the Gmail Inbox. Click the + to open a new tab.

9. In the address bar, type “aristoiclassical.instructure.com” to open the Canvas login page.

10. Type in your Aristoi email address and password and click Log In.

11. You will be brought to your Canvas Dashboard.

12. When you are finished in Canvas, be sure to log out. Do this by clicking on Account and then

Logout.
