INTRODUCTION

ANALOG PHOTOCOPIER

• Electrostatic photocopying was invented in 1938 by Chester. F .Carlson.

• It was known as 'Xerography.(It is a Greek word Xerox –dry,graphic- writing)

TONER

1. Toner may be dry powder or suspended In Solvent such as hydrocarbon or halogenated

hydrocarbon. 2. Dry toner systems are monocomponent or dual component

TONER

Small bead1. It is called Developer or carrier 2. It is made of fine spheres of Sand, Glass or Steel

Toner particles1. Made of Thermoplastic ink powder
