TROIKA presents the issue of OHS during the next Meeting of PAHO’s Directive Council.
Identify virtual and presential mechanisms that will allow to continue offering Masters and Diplomas in Occupational Health and Safety with the support of the OAS Educational Portal of the Americas, the Inter American University Organization, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Pan American Health Organization in order to promote joint certifications with national and foreign universities.
Promote subregional initiatives that draw from the lessons learned from CERSSO’s subregional cohesion in the area of Occupational Health and Safety with special emphasis on the strengthening tripartite work.
Work with the Trade Unit of the OAS in order to strengthen the
discussion of this issue in the context of the Trade Agreements.

area within the Plan of Action of the XIV IACML in Mexico.
Promote greater linkage and work between Ministers of Labour and Ministers of Health, as well as between Ministers of Labour and Ministers of Education
Negotiate through the presidents of the Councils of Ministers of Labour of MERCOSUR, CAN, CARICOM and the Central American countries and Dominican Republic, Panama and Belize, the development of a joint plan to coordinate actions on Occupational Health and Safety
Establish a network of focal points in Occupational Health and Safety to support the joint work of the OAS, PAHO, ILO and the European Agency of Safety and Health at Work (European Union).
Promote yearly workshops on Occupational Health and Safety organized by the Ministers of Labour from the different subregions with the support from the OAS as Technical Secretariat of the IACML, the PAHO, ILO, IDB and other agencies
