Master masons and carpenters perfectly

executed the architectural design of the home’s

four incredible levels using superb craftsmen

and the highest quality of materials. Its

masterful floor plan comfortably blends family

living spaces and impressive formal entertaining

spaces. Private quarters include a sumptuous

master suite with fireplace, sitting area, walk-in

closets and spacious bathroom. Two expansive

home office spaces reached from the master

bedroom overlook the landscaped lawn,

pool and gardens. Four en-suite bedrooms, a

complete guest suite with kitchen and upstairs

laundry room are also incorporated into this

grand estate.

The lower levels are all about entertainment.

A billiards room, full-scale bar, plus an enormous

media room are expertly designed and

appointed with incredible finishes and all the

details needed for the host or hostess. You can

take the party outside to one of the many expertly

hardscaped terraces overlooking the exquisite

gardens, rolling lawns, or the heated swimming

pool and spa. The fully-outfitted pool house

even includes a complete outdoor kitchen with

barbecue grill and full bar. There is no sweeter

spot to live, work, or play than Honeystone along

Philadelphia’s main Line.

Frederick L. Bissinger, Jr, F.L. Bissinger Inc.

As a child, young Frederick Bissinger was exposed to the diversity of

cultural heritage that inspired the “fine old houses” of Philadelphia’s

Chestnut Hill and the Main Line by driving through American

suburbs. This family past time lead him to his passion. After

attending Yale University he went on to study architecture at the

University of Pennsylvania. There, he learned the details of the trade,

though he says most of his knowledge came from experiences

outside of the classroom. In 1970 he opened F.L. Bissinger, Inc.,

a small design-build firm focusing on single-family residential

homes with an emphasis on Artisan Revival Style, a name Fred

developed to celebrate the revival of fine craftsmanship and details

commonly found in the best pre-World War II homes. Known for a

high degree of artistic expression; elements like distinctive fireplace

mantels, sweeping stairways and chimneys that punctuate the skyline;

and inventive techniques that provide clients truly custom work, the

firm is now one of the most prominent and sought after Pennsylvania.

ABOUT THE ARCHITECT

Edwin Mahoney, E.B. Mahoney Builders

To this day, the phrase “Mahoney-built” is widely known as an

identifier that signifies a home crafted to the highest standards

of quality and integrity. Having started their first construction

business in 1926, the Mahoney family built a brand based on hard

work and uncompromising quality. Many of the homes that stand

on Philadephia’s Main Line today bear the imprint of this business.

Edwin is the third generation version of a long and proud tradition

sustained over 90 years. In this time, E.B. Mahoney Builders has

been awarded numerous times for their outstanding commitment

to quality and service, although client satisfaction is their greatest

achievement. This reputation makes E.B. Mahoney one of

Pennsylvania’s busiest and most requested builders.

Bid on a case of the Emeritus Vineyards 2011 Hallberg Ranch Pinot Noir, as well

as a guided tour of the Hallberg Ranch in Sebastopol, California with founder and

proprietor Brice Cutrer Jones for up to four people.

The 2011 vintage provided a rare occasion in California to make a wine elegant in style, more delicate,

more fragrant and more feminine in nature than usual. This is a joyful wine that retains its freshness yet

remains reserved. It is lively with vibrant acidity that carries red fruit aromas of strawberry and raspberry.

This is a very special vintage — the year dry farming finally fulfilled its promise.
