arise– 34,000 are new – 110,00 are retirements and career moves

• 90,000 in health and 50,000 in social care• 45,000 in personal service occupations• 40,000 in associate professional &

technical occupations– (25,000 in health 14,000 in social care).

• Over 250,000 staff in H&SC

• >50,000 have low or no qualifications

• 35,500 qualified to below Level 2

• Forecast of 50,000 job opportunities by 2014 (retirement and expansion)

• 12,000 more staff @ L4 or above

• 23,000 more staff @L3 or equivalent

• 15,000 more staff @ L2 or equivalent
