It is important to note that the following slides contain information on herbs that can be used in place of different conventional medicines. While I am in support of using all natural alternatives in

place of conventional medicine- DO NOT use any of these remedies without first consulting with a

naturopathic doctor and receiving instructions for proper usage. Just because something is all natural, doesn’t mean that it can’t have negative effects if

used incorrectly.

The common cold:“NYQUIL” OR OSHA

Supports the immune system and indicated for viral respiratory illness with copious amounts of mucus and congestion

PsoriasisSteroids Vs. Tea Tree Oil

Works as an anti fungal, and an anti inflammatory. Can be used to treat dandruff as well ;)

Respiratory Tract Infection

Antibiotics Vs. Lomatium (Lomatium dissectum)—Used as an antiviral, specifically for hard to treat respiratory tract infections

Headache/Muscle pain (this includes Menstrual cramps ladies!)

Ibuprofen Vs. Willow BarkWillow bark acts like aspirin. Relieves pain.

Bruising/sore muscles

Icy Hot Vs. Arnica gel

NauseaDramamine Vs. Ginger

Stinging pain, Rash and Hives

Hydrocortisone Vs. ApsisMade from crushing up honey bees!!
