The team at The Salon affectionatelyreferred to Llewellyn’s pale curls as a mop,and wasted no time in transforming itinto a soft, colour-rich curl frenzy.

A choc-brown colour was used, andstyled in a way that allows him to wear itup, down, or even with dreads. The Wella Lifetex Range of products wasused to ease out the wildness.

Fizha neatened up Llewellyn’s eyebrowsby combing and filling them in slightly.Fizha noted that he had fairly good skin, and a light concealer was used to coversome darker areas on his face.

Medium tone powder was used toaccentuate his cheekbones and a bronzerwas added as a dash of colour to his quitefair face.

With an ecstatic Llewellyn acting like he’djust stepped off a runway, there was nodoubt that his old confidence was back.

We’re still not sure who enjoyed it more, the MetroBeat team or Llewellyn. What atransformation.

MANY believe that your hair says alot about the kind of person youare. So make a great impressionwith these tips on improving thecondition of your hair.

Healthy living means healthy hairDid you know that if you have ahealthy lifestyle, then your hair ismore inclined to follow suit?

Washing your hairWhen it comes to conditioning hair, many fail to realise that you needto leave the conditioner on for a fewminutes. This will ensure that itworks its magic and gives you softand smooth hair.

DamageWhen using a heat styler, like astraightener or a hair dryer, use hairsilicone to protect the hair. A dryends formula will help prevent splitends.

Wet hairYour hair is at its most fragile whenit is wet. Use a rake comb to brushit while its wet. Running a brushthrough your hair is a sure fire wayto cause hair breakage.

Regular trimmingYou need to trim your hair every 6-8 weeks. This will avoid you havingsplit ends and your hair will be in abetter condition. Regular trimmingallows for healthier growing andless damage.

Too much brushingAlways think your hair is untidy?Well, if you are a regular brusher, stop it! Brushing your hair too muchcan add to split ends.

Switching productsIf you are a believer that if you useone product for too long, it loses itseffect, then you are wrong. – Yourhair simply needs to be washedwith a clarifying shampoo every twoweeks.

Don’t over-washToo much washing can damage thehair as it washes away the sebum,an oily substance that protects ourhair and makes it shiny.
