Career Overview;What is it? A Physician is a
professional that practices medicine and a Surgeon is someone who fixes bone and does tissue repairments
What do they do? Surgeon’s mainly treat for injury and diseases on the inside of the body while Physician’s have a variety of jobs which all have different treatment dealing with medicine.
Work Environment;Where do they work?
Physicians work in both small offices or at a local clinic. Surgeons would work at the hospital where the patients are being held.
Any uniform worn? Yes there is; Physician’s are known for wearing the long white coat along with scrubs. Surgeons ALWAYS wear scrubs because they spend most of their time in the operating room.

Daily Routine;What is the work schedule like? A normal
Physician and Surgeon both have to work 18 hours a day, Monday-Sunday
Explain: A day in life for a physician or surgeon starts at 6a.m. and ends around 11-11:30p.m. Some get up to go to the hospital for patient appointments from 8a.m-12p.m. hen after they’re finish with all their appointments, they have medicine refills and paper work to deal with. Doctor is probably done with the paper work at around 5p.m. Now since they don’t have anymore patients at the moment they have lunch/dinner and leave their beeper’s on until an emergency pops up.

Qualifications: EducationWhat education is required and
how long is the education/training? The education you would need to become a physician or surgeon is 8 years of education after high school (4 in colleges, 4 years in medial school) with 3-8yrs in residency and internship. You have to study Physics, Biology, Mathematics, English, and Inorganic and Organic Chemistry as a Undergraduate. While in medical school you have to take Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Etc.
Qualifications: EducationAre there any test
required? Yes, yes there is. You have to take the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) and the BMAT (Biomedical Admissions Test)

Qualifications: Licensure/CertificationsIs a license or certification required? YesIf so, what is it and how long does it take? In order
to get a license you must take the examination test called the USMLE (United Medical Licensing Examination)
Important Qualities;What skills are needed? The
skills needed are mainly to help a patient by being compassionate, Don’t always use anatomical terms, and also know when to speak and listen.
What personal qualities are needed? For one to be a physician, they would need to also have certain personal qualities to be confident, to be personal and interact with the patients
