Happy Birthday Mrs. Munns

Sauganash Spelling BeeOnce again the 2019 Sauganash Spelling Bee was a blast. Thanks to Mrs. Biesty for

organizing the event and Mrs. Mackin for helping with the contestants. A big thanks to, Mr.Lundak was our judge & ceremony leader as well as Mrs. Kurzydlo and Mrs. French for

judging the contest. We had some amazing spelling contestants in grades 5-8th that reallyshowed their stuff Wednesday and we couldn't be prouder.

We had students in grades 5-8th compete to move on to the City-wide Competition! Our

winner was 7th grader Shrutik De who defended his title from last year. Runner-Up NatalieMark (5th Grade) was very impressive as well.

March 14, 2019 - 2019 CPS Citywide Spelling Bee

Lindblom Math and Science Academy6130 South Wolcott, Chicago, Illinois from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The winner of the Citywide Spelling Bee will represent CPS at the Scripps National

Spelling Bee held in National Harbor Maryland in late May.

Last Night Bingo NightHuge Success

A big thanks to Friends of Sauganash for anothergreat FREE event. Mrs. Shaprio and her

committee planned a great evening for ourSauganash families. A special shout out to the

Bapu family who won the Split the Pot Raffle anddecided to donate the money back to the school!

Reminder that we are inthe midst of cold and fluseason so please make

sure to call your child out ifthey are indeed sick.
