The training is intended for immigrants• who have a residence permit, the right of residence 

registration or residence card issued, • who have completed integration training for immigrants, • who are unemployed or do not have a study place, • who are refugees (MAHTAVA-project, apprenticeship training).• Finnish language skills are not necessary.

Preparatory studies (25h/week)Basic mathematics:• Plus-,minus-, divisionInformation and communication skills :• For example: E-mail , Word –attachment , CV,  Blog.Rules of working life: • Finnish working culture: Working- and holiday times, tax, eye contact, 

handshake, time tables.Intensive teaching of Finnish language:• School equipment for workshop and the- job learning places.• Teaching the language is based on the needs of Finnish labor market. • Language teaching incentive to 25h/week• Tulka-Service demo • School timetable

Preparatory studies • Practical training in the workplaces. • Getting to know various vocational training sectors.• Identification and recognition of prior learning.  

The Finnish language studies are in a huge roll.

Studying Vocational units(30h/week)

• In designing of the personal study plans students' potential for employment are taken into account.

• Students  are elligible for integration assistance.• Studies can last up to 24 months.• Student gets certificate of completed vocational units.• An opportunity to carry out  occupational certificates:

– Hot work license, First Aid 1  certificate, security certificate, work safety certificate and hygiene proficiency certificate.

Studying Vocational units

• Individual study plans. • Vocational studies 2 – 3 days/week.• Professional Finnish 1- 2 days/week.• Entrepreneurship studies included in 

building, painting, hairdressing, textiles and clothing, business and property maintenance studies.

All studies include work based learning.

• Hairdressing• Safety and Security (Language requirements B1.1 - A2.2.)• Construction: Masonry, Tiling and painting• Social- and Healt care• Clothing• Hotel, restaurant and catering (cook or waiter)• Baker-patissier (focus in cafeteria)• Property Maintenance
