We are happy to release the updated Education Jobs Website.
Changes have been made to the website to provide enhanced
security and some additional features.
You will be required to register your establishment and log in, to
be able to place an advert.
Please use this booklet as a guide to using the updated
Education Jobs website.

Registration Process
Please create a school account; your username and password will allow you to post adverts.
To register, visit the usual Education Jobs website, scroll down
and click ‘Register your school’ near the bottom of the page
To register, please click ‘Register
an account’ on the right hand side.
In future, please click ‘Log
in/Submit a vacancy’.
This page requires you to complete all the fields with your establishment details. Please note that
you need to create a school account using a shared school email address. There will be one
account per school.
• Enter your establishment name, contact name, email
address, telephone number and DfE number (enter full
seven digits, no space or punctuation)
• Passwords must contain at least 12 characters (this
password is for the school account, so please ensure
you are willing to share it with colleagues)
• Once fields are complete, click register at the bottom
of the page
• You will receive an email which requires you to confirm
the email address by clicking on a link provided
• Your registration will be forwarded to EPS Recruitment
for processing
• Once registration is complete, you will receive a final
email to confirm your account is active

Vacancy Submission Form Introduction
The vacancy submission form introduction provides you with an overview of the Education
Jobs service including pricing, timeframes and contact details.
• Please click ‘Create a new vacancy’, select your Local Authority (e.g. Hampshire) and
then click find your establishment
• Enter your DfE number, which should populate the fields with your school details;
please manually complete any fields which have not been populated, if applicable
• Check the details are correct then move on to the next page

Please complete all the fields relating to your vacancy:
• Email Address (and whether you would like it
to show in the advert)
• Vacancy Type (if ‘Teacher’ please complete
‘Suitable for NQT’, ‘Key Stage’ and ‘Teaching
Subject’ fields)
• Post Title
• Working Pattern
• Role Location
• Job/Person Summary
• Application Procedure
• Safer Recruitment Statement (maintained
schools to tick the box to use standard
statement)
• Job/Person summary and Application Procedure
(free text fields, maximum of 4000 characters);
you can use bullet points, numbering, bold text
and alignment options
Please note: Email address is required so the team can contact you regarding the vacancy,
and so confirmation emails can be sent.
If the box is ticked for ‘Show school email address?’, then candidates can also use this as a
point of contact for any questions.

Vacancy Tab Guidance
Position Tab
Job/Person Summary:
• Enter a short paragraph about the role and person required
• Use this to attract the best candidate
• This is an opportunity to engage the candidate and sell the vacancy
• You should draft this based on environment/ethos of your establishment
Application Procedure:
The applicant will either:
• Download an application form from the advert and post/email this to the school
• Contact the school and ask for an application pack
• Go to the school website for further information
Please ensure the process is clear to the applicant.
This space can also be used to provide contact information and details regarding school
visits.
Please complete all fields with specific details of the position e.g. salary details, contract
types and full/part time.
The salary range minimum and maximum fields are
used for candidate searching; they do not appear
on your advert but enable candidates to filter job
searches within their preferred salary bracket.
• Fixed salary: Place the same figure in both
minimum and maximum fields
• Salary range: Please provide minimum and
maximum of the range

Use Enhanced Vacancy
Please confirm if you would like your advert to be enhanced.
• If you select ‘No’, the next page will be ‘Advert’
• If you select ‘Yes’, the next page will be ‘Enhanced Vacancy’
Please select a colour scheme for your advert and a template for your text, logo
and images.
If you would like your Ofsted report to be linked to the advert, please tick the
box.
For any images uploaded, you will need to confirm you have received consent
for any children in the images (from parent/guardian) and provide the name of
the person who obtained this.

You can now upload up to five
attachments, two or three images and
one school logo.
• To upload a document or image,
click the orange ‘browse’ button
• Chose your file
• Provide file description
• Click upload
• Repeat as required
• If you have chosen an image, there
will be an option to set one as the school logo
This gives you the option to upload up to
four award logos as appropriate.
Selecting any award logos is optional
therefore you can move on without doing so
if preferred.

Advert Details
Please provide all details relating to the advert:
• Application form: If you would like include the corporate application form,
tick the box; schools who have their own application form available via their
school website can enter the link.
• Reason for advert: For example, retirement or resignation (does not appear
in advert)
• Position Start Date: You also have the
option to have no start date (start date
unknown) or to show as month and year only
• Advert Go Live Date
• Advert Closing Date: We recommend that each
vacancy is listed for at least seven days
• Advert closing time: 12:00pm or 17:00pm
Please use the comments box to provide any
further information strictly for the EPS
Recruitment Team only (this text will not be
visible on the advert).
Please note: We will invoice directly to the school name if we are not
informed otherwise. If you would like us to invoice to a third party e.g.
academy, please state this in the comments box for the EPS team to view.
You may also wish to use this space to provide a PO number for the
invoice.

Interview Dates
Please enter any interview dates you require on the advert. If you do not yet
have interview dates, you can click next to move on.
Interview dates cannot be before the advert closing date or after the position
start date. You can add up to three interview dates.
This page shows you a preview of your advert. If necessary, you can go back
and make any amendments.
