    Competitions that require member to be

    active in a Clothing and Textiles project:

    ♣ Traditional: a garment sewn for and by a 4-Hmember.

    ♣ Vintage Challenge: Construct a garment usingnew materials to create a garment that clearlyrepresents the era (1900-2000) that inspired it.

    ♣ Box Challenge: THE BOX CHALLENGE:Use 2 different fabrics to create your garment, using2-4 sewing techniques depending on age division.Full list of techniques at https://ucanr.edu/sites/sfd/Competitions/State_Fashion_Revue/Categories/

    Open Competitions,

    no project requirements:

    ♣ Consumer Science Purchased, $40 limit:create a fashionable outfit, keeping the total under

    $40. (everything visible from head to toe needs to

    have a receipt showing purchase in

    current 4h year.)

    ♣ Cosplay Challenge Craft a garment that depictsa fictional, original or historical character. No sewingrequired, any crafting technique or material tocreate the costume.

    ♣ One member per age division (Junior,Intermediate and Senior) in each of the fivecategories can advance to State Fashion Revueon May 30, 2020 at UC Davis.

    "primary members" no project requirementsThese two are County event categories for SBC, does not

    move on to State field day event.

    Animal Wearables Challenge:Craft, sew or build a costume for your animal. Open to animal only and animal handler costumes parings.

    Non-Wearable open:sew, crochet, or knit an non wearable project that showcases skills you have learned. Possibilities include, but are not limited to a stuffed animal, place mat, tote, blanket, or pillow, etc.
