SPIRITUAL GROWTH

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

INVOLVEMENT IN MISSION PARTICIPATION IN STUDY AND

SOCIAL ACTION

MAINTAIN UPDATED MEMBERSHIP ATTENDANCE RECORD AT MEETINGS

Encourage Local UMW to reach out to teen women,

young women, mothers and

working professionals.

►Time and space to share concerns and experiences at gatherings►Stay in touch with members who attend irregularly by mail, email, phone to alert what is happening with Local UMW.►Support women re-entering group following loss.►Make personal visits with a listening ear.►Support women in both their joy and pain.

►Might have survey to discover hidden talents and/or needs.►Offer a woman a different challenge if she always leads in the same way.►Be attentive to others’ hidden potential as well as their demonstrated abilities.►United Methodist Women have a right to expect something from the organization and carry a responsibility to it.
