REPUBLIC

• It’s a form of Government in which state are a public matter, not the private concern of the rulers.

SENATE

• Is a deliberative assembly, often the upper house or chamber of a bicameral legislature of parliament.

CONFLICT OF THE ORDERS

• Was a political struggle between the Plebeians and the Patricians.

PATRICIANS

• Was originally referred to the group ruling class of ancient Rome, including both their natural and adopted members.

PLEBEIANS

• Was the general body of free Rome citizens who were not Patricians, as determined by the census.

CONSULS

• Was the highest elected office of Roman Republic and an appointive office under the Empire.

DICTATOR

• Is a ruler who does not rule through democratic means.

TRIBUNES

• Was a tittle shared by elected officials in the Roman Republic.

VETO

• a constitutional right to reject a decision or proposal made by a law-making body.

ASSEMBLY OF THE PLEBS

• Was the principal popular assembly of the ancient Roman Republic.

CENSOR

• was an officer in ancient Rome who was responsible for maintaining the census, supervising public morality, and overseeing certain aspects of the government's finances.

EXECUTIVE

branch of government that has sole authority and responsibility for the daily administration of the state bureaucracy.

LEGISLATIVE

• Is a law that has been promulgated by a legislative or other governing body.

JUDICIARY

• Is the system of courts that interprets and applies the law in the name of the states.

PRAETOR

• Was a title granted by the ancient Rome to men acting in one of two official capacities.
