Gorongosa Mountain BirdingJoin us on a full day birding trip. Birding Mount Gorongosa is truly a memorable experience. The star of the show is the stunning
Green-headed Oriole. Other great birds include Livingstone’s Turaco, Orange Ground Thrush,
Black-fronted and Olive Bushshrikes, Chirinda Apalis and Eastern Bronze-naped Pigeon.
The approach to the forest often produces Blue-spotted Dove, Moustached Grass Warbler
and Marsh Tchagra.
Early departure from Chitengo by closed vehicle for the 3 hour drive to the foot hills
of Mount Gorongosa. The drive is on the EN1 past Villa Gorongosa and the last hour will
be on a very rough road up to the mountain. You will park the vehicle at the coffee project
and bird on foot for about four hours in the forest and surrounding community farmlands.
Day trip to the Waterfall $110 per person- minimum charge $210

Vinho Community visit Join a guide for a stroll into Vinho village to meet the locals and experience African village life.
You will depart from the lodge on foot for the 1km walk to the Pungue River. After crossing
the river you will pass through the village farms, visit the school and clinic before stopping off
