150,000 people die on this planet every day. The majority of these deaths are the result of natural causes and accidents; however a notable percentage of deaths are from acts of intentional violence and homicide such as suicide, war, terrorism, domestic violence, infanticide, gang violence, honour killings and state executions.
As a former soldier I can reconcile the fact that soldiers die during times of war, but what I cannot understand is why so many people die from intentional violence and murder.
So I went looking for answers. Here’s what I’ve learned…
