STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: A delegation ofJammu Kashmir Govt.Teachers Forum (JKGTF) ledby State Chairman Amar NathThakur and State GeneralSecretary Parveen Singh metChief Education Office Kathuaand discussed the transfer andsalary issues in detail. The del-egation demanded that salaryof teachers working underRMSA has not been releasedsince April 2017 till date, as aresult teachers are in distress,so salary grant may be issued.

CEO on the spot rang the

State RMSA higher authoritiesand informed that one monthsalary of teachers, mastersworking under RMSA isreleased today and the balanceliability would be cleared afterthe Central share grant isreceived. Regarding the trans-fer of teachers, CEO informedthe delegation that nearly threehundred transfers of teacherswill be effected very soon as perthe transfer policy on therational basis and completion ofstay in the institution. Theissue of modifications and lowresult percentage by lecturers

and other Teachers were alsodiscussed with the CEOKathua in detail and necessarydirections in this regards wereissued to the concerned author-ities.

STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: Start of air serv-ice in Rajouri and 50 MVAtransformer in Rajouripower station are two majorgifts by government to thepeople of this district statedsenior Bhartiya Janta Partyleader and MemberLegislative Council VibodhGupta on Monday.

Gupta was addressing in ameeting of party workersheld in Kallar village toreview the ongoing VistarakYojna in district.

Party leaders alongwithDistrict President BJP,Dinesh Sharma informedVibodh that this door to doorcampaign is going on in fullswing and many far flungareas have also been coveredby teams of party workers.

Addressing in the meeting,Vibodh said that this cam-paign is important as peoplewill come to know about pos-itive policies and working ofgovernment at the Centre

which is leaving no stoneunturned in bringing areform in every sector.

While mentioning twomajor decisions regardingRajouri District, he said thattwo decades old pendingdemands of Rajouri peoplehave been solved by Stateand Central Government.

STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Youth for Services of Humanity andNation (YASHAN) condemned indiscriminatefiring along LoC in Poonch where two civilianswere killed besides loss of cattle and property oflocals. Imtiaz Salaria, President YASHAN con-demned firing on civilians. He said PakistaniArmy started indiscriminate firing along LoCwithout any provocations causing huge loss ofhuman lives and property. He also criticised localadministration for lack of preparedness for suchsituations.

He said such non seriousness attitude ofadministration warrants fixing accountabilityadding administration is answerable to peoplethen why it has no plan to evacuate people alongLoC. Even in hospital lack of medicine for treat-ment of patients is cause of concern, he saidadding there was no adequate supply of medi-

cines for treatment of injured persons brought inhere.

There was no arrangement of ambulances forbringing injured from spot, he said and demand-ed that administration should prepare plan forsuch situation as ceasefire violation is regularthese days.

Citing example of Rajouri administrationwhich undertook initiative to construct bunkersin Nowshera area for safety of locals he lament-ed Poonch administration has failed in thisaspect. He said bunker construction along LoCshould be taken on priority basis without anydelay, besides arrangement of ambulances, airlifting seriously injured people, adequate supplyof medicines in hospital for treatment of injured,compensation for those farmers who could notharvest crop due to firing and where cattle andproperties are lost should also be looked into.
