Pedagogy

Pedagogy is a method and practice of teaching, especially as an academic

subject or theoretical concept

Hegemonic Assumption

Hegemonic assumptions are assumptions that we think are in our

own good but actually work against us in the long term.

Screencast

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also know as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration.

An example of a screencast can be found in the Projects tab of my website.

Embed Code

An embed code is a code that adds a browser plugin or widget to your page

Flipped Classroom

A flipped classroom is a form of blended learning in which students

teach and switch roles with teachers.

Selective Mute

Selective mute is an anxiety disorder in which a person who is normally

capable of speech does not speak in specific situations or to specific people

Audio-Visual Aid

An audio-visual aid is a training or educational material that is directed at the sense of hearing and the sense of

sight.

Brainstorm

A brainstorm is a production of ideas and ways of solving problems, usually

done in a group setting.

Interference

Interference is something that obstructs or hinders.

Summarize

To summarize is to give a brief statement of the main points of

something.

Podcast

A podcast is a digital audio file available on the internet for

downloading, typically available as a series.

Sigmund Freud is the founding father of psychoananlysis. He also developed

the stages of psychosexual development.

Jean Piaget

Jean Piaget is know for being a developmental psychoanalysis and

philosopher. He is best known for his studies with children.

Erik Erikson

Erik Erikson is a developmental psychologist known for his theory of

the eight stages of psychosocial development.

Howard Gardner

Howard Gardner is the developmental psychologist that developed the theory

of multiple intelligences.
