It is the one thing that that Jim can not control, and his health is something that he
needs to takeen care of. I hope to see him when he gets the ok. He is listed as the
host for tonights shows and I wish him the best when he does return.

I third that motion, Jim needs his rest, and we should be able to manage while he is
gone.

Yep, Jim needs a little time and relaxation.
Let's be patient.
Meantime, he can still type!!

Agree 100%--all those hosts have something positive to contribute. I like them all--
and yes, some of you do have your favorites--ALL do a good job--just in different
ways.

New car you say? In similar circumstances I myself have had several illnesses that
prevented me from going to work. Trust we'll see Jim feeling better and up to his
usual monkeyshines soon.

Jim is a hoot and I wish him well. He is easily the most entertaining host on the SNBC
network, and a pleasure to buy from, but I'll buy a watch from the devil himself if it's
one I want and the price is right !!!

EXACTLY! If I want a watch, Little Bo Peep could be the host Im still getting it! I hope
Jim is OK first and foremost, and cant wait for him to get back, but it doesnt affect
what watch I want or am going to get.

I dont buy a watch for the host but I sure watch a lot more when Jim is on. Jim is
entertainment as well as sales. Hard to do that when you cant talk.

I was kinda hoing Jim might come in here and write a little poetry while under the
influence of medication.
It's alway good to see people in a good mood.
That's why I like to watch Jim and Mike "play."
It looks like play instead of work, because they're enjoying the time they spend doing
something they love.
I'm really glad that there is a place to meet, here, because these guys LOVE this
hobby.
I do what I love for a living, and fully understand

I like 'em all...Jim, Tim, Daniel, etc. I watch based on the show...not the host. But
I've notice my volume control has been a little higher while Jim's been out.

jim is man no doubt about it but ive yet to see a watch that was as important as his
health. When he is ready to come back we will all be here waiting for him but we want
him healthy. Heather make him listen to the doctors and do what he is supposed to

I LOVE all the watch show hosts and yes ...I too don't have to turn the
volume down while Mr. Skelton is off healing. And I pray for his renewed
health.

I'm sure Jim is intelligent enough not to jepordize his career by disobeying his
doctors. He'll come back when his Dr.s say it'sok and not before.

Thank you for expressing your feelings. I am sure that Jim is very frustrated and
upset about having to be at home and not at work. It only takes a little bit of common
sense to realized that a person's health is worth more then any watch you can buy.
Jim, I wish you a speedy recovery, we will all survive until you return. Come back
when you are really ready and forget about those that have their priorites first in
mind. You are number one to you, remember that.

I'm certain Mr. Jim feels bad about missing Mr. Wing's predator TTV, the Stuhrlings
and certainly the Invictas that have come through the Must Watch event. But as has
been pointed out by those wise watchgeeks in this forum, while this is a hard time for
Mr. Jim, it is but a 'speck' on the mosaic of his career.
We won't forget Mr. Jim and when he comes back, and is 100%, it will just be that
much better!

I hope Jim takes his time and takes care of himself. In my experience nearly
everything's else pales in comparison to the value of one's health.
Regarding the other stuff.....I too am attracted to watches that sing to me; that's
why I tend to hang out in seedy wristwatch karaoke bars.

Thanks guys, but really... there's no need to be concerned. My life is absolutely
normal aside from the sprain. This only limits how long I can talk, and what kind of
foods I can eat... I am able to do everything else normally.
My jaw is finally coming along, I was able to close my mouth fully yesterday for the
first time in about 3 weeks (rear molars will now touch).
Sorry that I've been absent from the forum over the last few days. Apparently this
has spread rumors like wildfire. Something about my contract being up... don't
believe what you read, there is absolutely NO such thing as a 9 month contract, more
BS from someone who has not one ounce of actual knowledge or facts about me or
the industry that I work in.
I have spent a lot of time with my family, which as you know, I don't get the chance
to do nearly enough. I'm on-air about 30 hours a week, on the forum about 30-40
hours a week, plus FB, work email with viewers, and all my photography... I haven't
had much time for my family over the last 2 years. Since I am on medical leave, it
gives me a lot more time with them, and I enjoy it. Also, 2 of the days were spent at
the car dealership (they always seem to take forever don't they?), so I could only
update to my FB because it's easy on the iPhone.
Nothing to worry about, never was... doubtful that there ever will be. At this point I
am hopeful to return to work on the 14th or 15th, but I can only work 1-2 hours at a
time. If I jump back in full force, I can of course re-sprain the joint and I'm back
where I started.
It's funny, when I post up full details about any long term absence, it's mocked
elsewhere because they say I'm doing a "woe is me", yet those same people now are
balking because I HAVEN'T been very vocal about my condition and updates. Shows
the mentality I have to deal with over the internet huh? No skills require small
brains... or something to that effect. Super skills require bigger rumors? Wait... oh
forget it
I'll be back soon, and thank you to those who have messaged and posted. I apologize
for not being more attentive. I'm just simply enjoying many of the important things in
life with my family lately, and spending less time online.

Yes... I've had an operation myself. If you don't follow the Post-Op orders by the
surgeon, one might get into trouble!!! We all wish him the best. And it's up to others
to fill in and keep the show going. Our best wishes to Jim Skelton!!
