HOWARD COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AUGUST 31, 2020

THE THIRTY-FOURTH DAY The Board of Supervisors of

Howard County, Iowa met in reg-ular session as required by the law at the Office of the Howard County Board of Supervisors, Cresco, Iowa on August 31, 2020.

Unless noted in the minutes, all motions were passed unani-mously.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pat Murray at 9:00 a.m.

Those present were: Chair-man in the Chair Pat Murray and Joe Pisney. Absent; None.

A motion by Joe Pisney and seconded by Pat Murray to ap-prove the agenda as posted. Mo-tion passed.

A motion by Pat Murray and seconded by Joe Pisney to ap-prove the minutes of the last meeting. Motion passed.

A motion by Pat Murray and seconded by Joe Pisney to ap-prove Resolution No. 1188-2020, Northeast Iowa Workforce Area. The vote thereon was as follows: Ayes: Murray and Pisney. Nays: None. Resolution No. 1188-2020 passed unanimously. Howard County Recorder Roxann Vokaty came before the board to discuss employees.

A motion by Joe Pisney and seconded by Pat Murray to ap-prove to hire Heather O’Brien as a full-time clerk in the Howard County Recorder’s Office effec-tive September 21, 2020 at a salary of 50% of the Recorder’s salary. She will follow all of Howard County’s Policies and Procedures. Motion passed.

Joe attended a Northeast Iowa Community Action meeting by Zoom.

Pat Murray attended a Howard County Behavioral

Health meeting by zoom, a Re-gional Board of Trustees meeting by zoom, a Howard County Eco-nomic Development meeting in Elma, a CSS HR meeting in Wa-terloo, and a NEI3A HR meeting by zoom.

Nick Rissman came before the board to discuss Secondary Roads Business.
