Vertical angles
Definition - each of the pairs of opposite
angles made by two intersecting lines.
Picture
- I chose this picture because it show an intersection that has
vertical angles.
Acute triangles
Definition - . An triangle that measures less
than ninety degrees on each angle.
Picture
- I chose this picture because the birds mouth has an angle less than
90 degrees.
Obtuse triangles
Definition -In an obtuse triangle, one angle is greater than a right angle—it is more than 90 degrees. An obtuse
triangle may be isosceles or scalene. In an acute triangle, all
angles are less than right angles—each one is less than 90 degrees.
Picture
- I chose this picture because the aircraft has an obtuse angle in the
front and the others are acute.
Right triangles
Definition -a triangle with a right angle.
Picture
- I chose this picture because it shows the angle perfectly by the
way its built.
Equilateral triangle
Definition -In geometry, an equilateral
triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are equal. In
traditional or Euclidean geometry, equilateral triangles are also equiangular; that is, all three
internal angles are also congruent to each other and are each 60°.
Picture
- I chose this picture because it is equal and its just like the def. says.
Isosceles triangles
Definition -in geometry, an isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of
equal length. Sometimes it is specified as having two and only
two sides of equal length, and sometimes as having at least two sides of equal length, the latter
version thus including the equilateral triangle as a special
case.
Picture
- I chose this image because it show the two legs are congruent
and the base isn’t.
Scalene triangle
Definition - A scalene triangle is a triangle
that has three unequal sides, such as those illustrated above. SEE
ALSO: Acute Triangle, Equilateral Triangle, Isosceles Triangle, Obtuse Triangle, Triangle.
Picture
- I chose this image because this measuring devise is a scalene
triangle.
