Front cover and contents screen shots

By Thomas Payne

Front cover from start to finish-

To start off my media magazine, I wanted a solid colour for my background, I was experimenting for a while but then I thought the black would help me with my variety of different colour scehemes

The first thing I did, was put in the title, started off one by one, so I could have a different variety of sizes, to mix and match and change.

After adding each letter, I wanted the “The” to be bigger then the blues because it gave me a chance to make the “The” to stand out, and make it catch someone's eye.

The “Blues” is blue to be ironic with the audience, because the name is “blue”, the colour works perfectly to show that it says blue.

After adding the name, I chose to add the model, I did this so I know where the space is for my writing, and how much space I have left.

My model, Jack, was chosen because of his music look, and for his looks, I used him so he would connect with the younger audience and also bring some young teens to the magazine.

After adding my model, I wanted to the minor details to my magazine, such as barcode and the free prizes.

The small details information is a copy from many other magazines

After adding the small detail, I started to add bigger information to my front cover, such as information that’s going to be inside the magazine.

After adding all the information, I had enough space to add pictures

After adding all the pictures, I wanted to add one more thing, colour.

New pictures

Adding the blue triangle makes the front cover stand out, and makes it stand out

Moving on to content page

Starting the contents, I went with the black background again, to work with the front cover.

I added the white lines to split up the contents page, so not everything is mashed together.

The first thing I did was add colour and images that would work for my music magazine.

Having these variety of colours makes the contents page stand out, and it works well with the background colour.

I did a mirroring of jack looking at his alto ego

After the pictures and colours were on there, I added all the information, so I know what goes where.

The information fitted well with the background colour

I then added the contents page name, and made a few different details to it, to again make it stand out

After adding a difference to the page, and adding the final touches, my contents page was done, and ready for selling.
